A double from striker Nady Landry Dimata helped NEC Nijmegen to a 3-1 victory over Emmen.

Dimata went into the clash with two goals in his last three games and after only 12 minutes the forward had made it 1-0 from the penalty spot. Jari Vlak had taken down Ibrahim Cissoko in the box.

Mark Diemers came close to making it 1-1 but his effort was cleared off the line by Bart van Rooij. NEC then went and scored their second with Elayis Tavsan setting Dimata through on goal and he made no mistake with his finish

Richairo Zivkovic gave Emmen some hope as he pulled a goal back before the break. The striker pounced after Jasper Cillessen had denied Mohamed Bouchouari.

The hope was short-lived as NEC quickly made it 3-1 in the second half as Tavsan brilliantly set up Cissoko to net.

The hosts then comfortably saw out the rest of the game and they remain in ninth spot. Emmen is in 16th.
