The 19-year-old striker has had an outstanding first campaign in the Ajax first team, scoring 22 goals, including the one that sealed Ajax’s place in the Europa League final on Thursday.

The Dane’s form hasn’t gone unnoticed around Europe with the likes of Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Liverpool all linked with Dolberg. However, speaking to Elf Voetbal, Dolberg has pledged his future to Ajax next season.

He said, “I will stay next season at Ajax. That is, if I can stay … I want to draw the line with this season. I want to get better and score more goals.”

On the season as a whole, Dolberg added, “It’s been an incredible season, in many ways. I hardly realize how fast it went. My breakthrough in Ajax 1, my debut for Denmark. All those European games. And later still the final in Stockholm.”
