Ryan Donk has left Galatasaray to join Real Betis on a season-long loan deal.

The defender, who can also play in midfield, only joined Galatasaray from Kasimpasa in January but has fallen down the pecking order in Istanbul and with the signing of Nigel de Jong on Wednesday he has been allowed to depart. Donk will play the rest of the season in La Liga with Real Betis.
The 30-year-old follows in the footsteps of Ricky van Wolfswinkel and Rafael van der Vaart who played for Betis last season.
Donk started his career with RKC Waalwijk and had spells with AZ, West Brom and Club Brugge before moving to Turkey.
