Sporting Lisbon have completed the signing of Wolfsburg striker Bas Dost on a four-year deal.

The 27-year-old had been linked with a move to Newcastle United but decided against a move to the Championship and has now put pen to paper on a deal with Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon. The fee for the deal is believed to be around €10 million.
Dost signed for Wolfsburg in 2012 from Heerenveen and made 80 Bundesliga appearances for the club, scoring 36 times. The striker has six caps for the Dutch national team with one goal.
Dost is set to be joined in Lisbon by fellow Dutch striker Luc Castaignos, who is set for a medical after Sporting agreed a fee with Eintracht Frankfurt.
