Dutch winger Virgil Misidjan struck in the final minute to earn Nurnberg a 1-1 draw at Davy Klaassen’s Werder Bremen.

Misidjan joined Nurnberg from Ludogorets at the end of the transfer window and was named on the bench for the trip to Werder Bremen.

The home side dominated the first half and took the lead in the 26th minute when Davy Klaassen set up Maximilian Eggestein to fire a strike into the top corner.

Werder then missed several chances to seal the victory and were punished in the last minute by Misidjan, who entered the pitch for his debut on the hour mark. The winger found himself in acres of space in the penalty box and finished excellently to earn his side a point.

The 25-year-old made a big impression in Bulgaria with Ludogorets and has got his Bundesliga career off to a fine start.
