Virgil van Dijk has announced on Twitter that Netherlands internationals will no longer be interviewed by Veronica Inside after controversial comments by the presenter Johan Derksen.

Last Monday, Veronica Inside discussed the Black Lives Matter protests and Derksen made a joke involving Zwarte Piet and rapper Akwasi.
The comments have seen many celebrities speak out about the comments, and Veronica Inside have lost sponsors. Now, the Netherlands internationals will no longer be interviewed or speak to the show.
A tweet from Virgil van Dijk said, “This is innocent humour? This is the language of the football canteen? This is just an opinion? Is this sometimes looking for the edge? Let it go, dude? No! This is far across the border. Not for the first time. Not for the second time. Time and time again. Enough is enough! We, Orange internationals, will no longer be interviewed by this programme.”
