sneijder fManchester United have reportedly been following Sneijder for years, and were said to have tried to sign the Dutchman last summer, but rejected the interest in order to stay in Turkey.

Now Sneijder has claimed United returned in January with a bid to bring him to England, but he was not ready to leave Galatasaray yet.

Sneijder toldĀ Sporx: “There were clubs who wanted to sign me like Manchester United but I have no intention of leaving and my club have no intention of letting me go.

“Leaving in January didn’t even cross my mind and the club have never told me to leave. There is still a lot to achieve here we are competing in the league, Turkish Cup and have a chance of beating Chelsea in the Champions League.

After joining Galatasaray in 2013, Sneijder has begun to show some of the form which made him one of the most coveted midfielders in Europe, netting 11 goals in 26 games.
