The Dutch trio have found playing time hard to come by so far this season but Roy Hodgson decided to start all three for the visit of the Premier League leaders.

Fosu-Mensah and Van Aanholt were at full-back while Riedewald stood in midfield as all three Dutchmen played the full ninety minutes of a 0-0 draw, which ended City’s 19 game win streak.

Fosu-Mensah was particularly impressive in keeping Leroy Sane quiet throughout the game and the Manchester United loanee was named man of the match. His performance led to Manchester United fans calling for his return on Twitter.
