The youngster is currently with Netherlands U17’s at the European Championships in Croatia and will sign his first professional deal on his arrival back in Alkmaar.
Boadu made his debut for Jong AZ earlier this season and was the youngest player to ever score in the Tweede Divisie at 15 years and 233 days. From next season the forward, who has reportedly rejected an offer from Arsenal, will be part of AZ’s first team.
Director of Football Affairs Max Huiberts told the clubs official website, “Myron has all the attributes to be a top player. He’s two-footed, physically strong, fast and focused. We are pleased that he has chosen to stay longer at AZ.”
Boadu added, “I’m happy with my first contract at AZ.
“In the games I’ve played for Jong AZ, I think I made a good impression. My highlight of the season was that I was allowed to join the training camp in the winter, where I could show myself to the head coach. Next year I am part of the first team. I will do my best to make my debut in the first team as soon as possible. “
