However a cruciate ligament injury, which he suffered when impressing on loan at Serie B side Brescia, has slowed his development with Juventus.

On Wednesday night, the midfielder was named on the bench for the Coppa Italia match against Serie B side Avellino, and with twenty minutes left, Bouy made his debut.

Bouy became the fourth Dutchman to play for the old lady, joining Edgar Davids, Edwin van der Sar, and Eljero Elia in playing for the Serie A champions.

With the January transfer window coming up in two weeks, Bouy may look for a loan move in order to stake his claim for a place in the Juventus side.

A hugely talented midfielder, Bouy is one Dutchman to watch in 2014.
