According to Voetbal International, Mikel Arteta is hoping to appoint Albert Stuivenberg as his assistant at Arsenal.

Arteta was appointed the new Arsenal head coach last week and is starting to mould his backroom staff.

The Spaniard is now hoping to bring in Stuivenberg, who has worked with Ryan Giggs and the Welsh national team for the last two years. He previously worked with Feyenoord, RWDM Molenbeek, Al-Jazeera, Oranje under-17 and under-21, Manchester United and Genk in various roles.

Arteta and Stuivenberg have been friends for years and are aiming to work together at Arsenal.
