A round-up of how all the Dutchmen playing in Europe’s biggest leagues fared over the weekend.

Italian Serie A
Frank de Boer is coming under more pressure as Inter Milan boss after his side slumped to a 2-1 defeat at Atalanta. Inter now slide to 14th in the table.
Kevin Diks made his first appearance in Serie A this season as a late substitute in Fiorentina’s 5-3 win over Cagliari.
Jonathan de Guzman was an unused substitute for Chievo in their 0-0 draw at Empoli.
Wesley Hoedt played the full game in defence for Lazio but couldn’t stop them conceding a last minute penalty which saw Torino earn a 2-2 draw. Ricardo Kishna was not in the Lazio squad despite them only naming nine of the allowed twelve substitutes.
Kevin Strootman made his return from injury as a 70th-minute substitute for Roma in their 4-1 win over Palermo. Ouasim Bouy was an unused substitute for Palermo.
English Premier League
Virgil van Dijk was once again outstanding in the Southampton defence as his side held Manchester City to a 1-1 draw on Sunday. The centre back kept Sergio Aguero quiet throughout the match, and made tackle after tackle in a dominant performance. Jordy Clasie also started for the Saints but was substitute just after the hour mark.
Daley Blind had an evening to forget for Manchester United as his side went down 4-0 at Chelsea. The left back was caught napping on several occasions during the match. Memphis Depay and Timothy Fosu-Mensah were not included in the United squad.
Vincent Janssen started Tottenham’s tie with Bournemouth on the bench but was brought on late on. Janssen couldn’t help break the deadlock as the game ended 0-0. Nathan Ake and Michel Vorm were unused substitutes.
Ronald Koeman’s Everton lost 2-1 at Burnley on Saturday with Maarten Stekelenburg playing the full game in goal for the Toffees.
Marten de Roon helped Middlesbrough hold Arsenal to a 0-0 draw at the Emirates on Saturday. The midfielder played the full ninety minutes but only touched the ball 27 times as Arsenal unsurprisingly dominated possession.
Bruno Martins Indi and Erik Pieters kept another clean sheet at the back for Stoke City as they beat Hull City 2-0 on Saturday. The Potters second win in a row lifted them out of the drop zone.
Swansea City’s poor start to the season continued on Saturday as they were held to a 0-0 draw at home by Watford. Mike van der Hoorn kept a clean sheet in the Swans defence while Leroy Fer was an unused substitute.
Sunderland remain rock bottom of the Premier League after a 1-0 loss at West Ham United. Patrick van Aanholt played the full game for the Black cats.
Georginio Wijnaldum made his return from injury as a late substitute in Liverpool’s 2-1 win over West Brom on Saturday evening. The midfielder played the final ten minutes.
English Championship
Marvin Emnes couldn’t prevent Blackburn Rovers from losing 1-0 at Bristol City. The striker played the full ninety minutes but didn’t make much impact.
Lex Immers was an unused substitute for Cardiff City in their 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest.
Ola John came off the bench on 76 minutes but couldn’t prevent Wolves from losing 1-0 at home to Leeds United. Paul Gladon was an unused substitute for Wolves, who slipped to 18th.
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s QPR side lost 1-0 at Sheffield Wednesday. Tjarron Chery played the full game for QPR, while Glen Loovens was an unused sub for the Owls.
Rajiv van la Parra played an hour of Huddersfield Town’s 1-0 win over Derby County which moved them to third in the table.
Vurnon Anita was an unused substitute as leaders Newcastle United eased to a 3-0 win over Ipswich Town.
Jaap Stam’s Reading earned a 1-0 win over Rotherham United with Roy Beerens and Joey van den Berg playing the full ninety minutes.
Maikel Kieftenbeld played the full game but couldn’t stop his Birmingham City side going down 2-0 at Burton Albion.
Spanish La Liga
Ryan Babel made his first start for Deportivo la Coruna on Sunday but his side was hammered 4-1 by Celta Vigo and the winger was substituted on 73 minutes.
Ryan Donk was an unused substitute in Real Betis 2-1 win over Osasuna on Friday.
German Bundesliga
Jeffrey Bruma was shown a straight red card in the 23rd minute of Wolfsburg’s 3-1 defeat away to Darmstadt. The defeat moves Wolfsburg into the bottom three.
Arjen Robben played 80 minutes of Bayern Munich’s 2-0 win over Borussia Monchengladbach before being substituted. The winger attempted five shots in the game but couldn’t find the net.
Klaas-Jan Huntelaar appeared as a substitue with nine minutes left as Schalke eased to a 3-0 win over Mainz.
Paul Verhaegh played the full match as Augsburg lost 2-1 at Freiburg.
French Ligue 1
Karim Rekik appeared from the bench in the 90th minute to help Marseille hold PSG to a 0-0 draw on Sunday evening.
Portuguese Premiera Liga
Sporting Lisbon left it late to earn a 1-1 draw at home to Tondela on Saturday. Bas Dost and Marvin Zeegelar started the match with the latter substituted just after the hour mark. Luc Castaignos appeared from the bench to make his Sporting debut while Douglas was an unused substitute.
Turkish Super Lig
Jan Olde Riekerink’s Galatasaray welcomed back Wesley Sneijder to the starting line-up but slumped to a shock 1-0 defeat at home to Trabzonspor. Nigel de Jong appeared from the bench in the final ten minutes.
Adam Maher was an unused substitute for Osmanlispor in their 2-1 defeat against Kasimpasa.
Dick Advocaat’s Fenerbahce are in action on Monday with Robin van Persie, Gregory van der Wiel and Jeremain Lens hoping to be involved.
Other news: Jean-Paul Boetius wasn’t named in Basel’s squad for their 2-2 draw against Lugano this weekend while Quincy Promes missed Spartak Moscow’s 1-0 win over Ural through injury.
