A round-up of how all the Dutchmen playing abroad fared over the weekend in Europe’s biggest leagues.

Bas Dost netted four last weekend for Sporting Lisbon and followed it up this week with both goals in the 2-0 victory over Nacional. The striker now meets up with the Dutch squad having netted 24 league goals in 23 games. Marvin Zeegelar also played the full ninety minutes, while Luc Castaignos remained on the bench.
English Premier League
Georginio Wijnaldum earned widespread plaudits for his performance in Liverpool’s 1-1 draw at Manchester City. The midfielder put in an energetic shift, completing five dribbles, three tackles and 86% of passes.
Harry Kane may be out injured but Vincent Janssen started Spurs game with Southampton on the bench. The striker came onto the pitch with five minutes to go and won some crucial fouls as Tottenham saw out a 2-1 win. Michel Vorm was an unused substitute
Ronald Koeman’s Everton easily beat Hull City 4-0 on Saturday with Maarten Stekelenburg an unused substitute.
Bruno Martins Indi had a goal disallowed as Stoke City lost 2-1 at home to Chelsea. Erik Pieters also played the full game for the Potters, who left Ibrahim Afellay on the bench. Nathan Ake was named among the substitutes for Chelsea but didn’t come onto the pitch.
Daryl Janmaat played just over an hour of Watford’s 1-0 loss at Crystal Palace before being substituted.
Leroy Fer and Luciano Narsingh couldn’t prevent Swansea from losing 2-0 at Bournemouth. Fer played the full game while Narsingh came off the bench on 63 minutes.
Maarten de Roon had a disappointing afternoon on Sunday as Middlesbrough went down 3-1 at home to Manchester United. Timothy Fosu-Mensah was among the United substitutes but didn’t play.
Italian Serie A
Hans Hateboer was handed his first start for Atalanta on Sunday and got himself an assist as his side beat Pescara 3-0. The full-back will be hoping his impressive performance will keep him in the team.
Stefan de Vrij and Wesley Hoedt kept another clean sheet in the Lazio defence as they were held to a 0-0 draw by Cagliari. The duo made 22 clearances between them throughout the game.
Kevin Strootman got himself an assist as Roma beat Sassuolo 3-1 on Sunday. The midfielder was in dominant form throughout the match, while Timo Letschert started for Sassuolo before being substituted at half-time.
Jonathan de Guzman appeared from the bench with 12 minutes to go of Chievo’s 4-1 defeat at Bologna.
French Ligue 1
Memphis Depay had a frustrating evening as Lyon were defeated 2-1 at PSG. The winger couldn’t get into the game and was denied a penalty in the first half after going over goalkeeper Kevin Trapp. Memphis was substituted before the end.
Anwar El Ghazi and Ricardo Kishna both appeared from the bench as Lille earned a 0-0 draw with Marseille on Friday evening. Neither could make a telling impression whilst on the pitch.
German Bundesliga
Arjen Robben reacted furiously after being substituted during Bayern Munich’s 1-0 win at Borussia Monchengladbach on Sunday. The winger was taken off after 84 minutes, brushed past Carlo Ancelotti and looked furious as he sat on the bench.
Riechedly Bazoer was once again in the Andries Jonker’s Wolfsburg line-up for their 1-0 win over Darmstadt. However, the midfielder missed a sitter during the game and was substituted on 80 minutes.
Jeffrey Gouweleeuw made his comeback from injury on Saturday as Augsburg drew 1-1 with Freiburg. The centre-back played only 28 minutes though before being forced off. He also hit the woodwork early on.
Klaas-Jan Huntelaar remained on the bench for Schalke in their 1-0 win at Mainz.
Russian Premier League
Quincy Promes netted a lovely goal as Spartak Moscow earned a 1-1 draw at local rivals Lokomotiv Moscow.
Spanish La Liga
Jasper Cillessen remained on the bench as Barcelona recorded a 4-2 win over 10-man Valencia.
Ryan Donk was an 82nd-minute substitute in Real Betis 2-0 win over Osasuna.
Turkish Super Lig
Dick Advocaat’s Fenerbahce were stunned 3-2 at home to Konyaspor. Gregory van der Wiel started the game while Robin van Persie came off the bench on 37 minutes but neither could save their side from a shock loss.
Adam Maher played the full ninety minutes as Osmanlispor lost 3-2 at Kasimpasa.
Wesley Sneijder returned to the Galatasary starting eleven after injury but only played 62 minutes of their 2-0 defeat at Trabzonspor before being substituted. Nigel de Jong was an unused substitute.
Ryan Babel played the full ninety minutes of Besiktas game with Antalyaspor but despite a lively performance, he couldn’t make the breakthrough in the 0-0 draw.
Belgian Cup
Zulte Waregem won the Belgian cup after a penalty shoot-out win over KV Oostende. Robert Muhren appeared from the bench on 82 minutes.
English Championship
Jaap Stam’s Reading got back to winning ways on Friday with a 2-0 win at Sheffield Wednesday. Joey van den Berg put in a commanding midfield performance for the Royals while Roy Beerens featured for 62 minutes before being substituted. Glenn Loovens started for Sheffield Wednesday but came off in the 90th minute.
Rajiv van la Parra played the full ninety minutes in Huddersfield’s shock 4-0 defeat at Bristol City on Friday.
Marvin Emnes got himself an assist as Blackburn Rovers drew 2-2 with Preston.
Yanick Wildschut was an unused substitute as Norwich beat Barnsley 2-0.
Maikel Kieftenbeld and Vurnon Anita both featured as Birmingham City and Newcastle United played out a 0-0 draw.
Florian Jozefzoon came off the bench in the 70th minute and got himself an assist as Brentford came from behind to beat Burton 5-3.
Michael Mancienne played the full ninety minutes of Nottingham Forest’s 2-2 draw with rivals Derby.
