A round-up of how all the Dutchmen playing in Europe’s biggest leagues fared over the weekend.

Swansea City recorded an extraordinary 5-4 win over Crystal Palace with the home side netting twice in injury time. Leroy Fer had put Swansea 3-1 up with two quick-fire goals in the second half. Mike van der Hoorn was an unused substitute.

Vincent Janssen came off the bench in the final ten minutes of Tottenham’s 2-1 defeat at Chelsea and couldn’t make an impact.

Marten de Roon was the villain for Middlesbrough on Saturday as he conceded a silly penalty in the 94th minute which saw Leicester City earn a 2-2 draw.

Georginio Wijnaldum put in an energetic performance as Liverpool beat Sunderland 2-0 on Saturday. Patrick van Aanholt played the full game for the black cats, who moved back to the bottom of the table.

Erik Pieters and Bruno Martins Indi both put in impressive performances as Stoke City earned a 1-0 win over Watford on Sunday. Daryl Janmaat was also in good form but couldn’t prevent his sides defeat.

Nathan Ake was once again named in Bournemouth’s starting line-up and the Dutchmen was great in the centre of defence as his side frustrated Arsenal for most of the game before falling to a 3-1 defeat. Ake made 14 clearances, and three interceptions during the game.

Ronald Koeman return to Southampton ended in defeat as his former side recorded a 1-0 win over Everton on Sunday. Virgil van Dijk kept a clean sheet at the back for the Saints, while Jordy Clasie came off the bench late on. Maarten Stekelenburg played the full game in goal for Everton.

Daley Blind was an unused substitute as Manchester United drew 1-1 with West Ham United. Memphis Depay was once again not in the United squad.

English Championship

Jaap Stam’s Reading made it five wins in a row on Saturday as they recorded a 2-1 victory over Bristol City. Roy Beerens scored one of the goals with a great volley into the bottom corner.

Maikel Kieftenbeld played the full match as Birmingham City recorded a 2-1 win over Brentford.

Tjarron Chery was part of the QPR side hammered 3-0 at Ipswich Town on Saturday.

Leaders Newcastle United slumped to a shock 1-0 defeat at home to Blackburn Rovers with Vurnon Anita an unused substitute. Marvin Emnes came off the bench for Blackburn Rovers on 62 minutes.

Glen Loovens kept a clean sheet in the heart of Sheffield Wednesday’s defence in their 2-0 win at Wolves.

Yannick Wildschut netted the winning goal as Wigan earned a shock 2-1 win at Wigan. The winger raced through on goal in the second half before rounding the goalkeeper and slotting into the empty net. Rajiv van la Parra played the full game for Huddersfield but had a poor game.

Spanish La Liga

Ryan Donk played the full game for Real Betis as they went down 3-1 at Eibar on Friday night. Donk’s side were reduced to ten men within the first 20 minutes and couldn’t recover.

Ryan Babel wasn’t in Deportivo’s squad for their 4-3 defeat at Malaga.

Jasper Cillessen was an unused substitute as Barcelona drew 1-1 at Real Sociedad.

Italian Serie A

Kevin Strootman played the full ninety minutes as Roma recorded a 3-2 win over Pescara on Sunday to edge closer to league leaders Juventus.

Jonathan de Guzman played 81 minutes of Chievo’s 2-1 defeat at Torino.

Ouasim Bouy appeared from the bench just after the hour mark of Palermo’s 1-0 defeat to Lazio. Wesley Hoedt was an unused sub for the Romans, while Ricardo Kishna wasn’t in their squad.

German Bundesliga

Arjen Robben returned from injury as a 65th-minute substitute in Bayern Munich’s hard fought 2-1 win over Bayer Leverkusen.

Jeffrey Bruma played the full game in Wolfsburg’s defence as they earned a 1-1 draw at Ingolstadt.

Paul Verhaegh kept another clean sheet in the Augsburg defence as they held Koln to a 0-0 draw on Saturday.

Turkish Super Lig

Galatasaray recovered from their defeat to Fenerbahce last weekend as they saw off Bursaspor 3-1 on Friday with Wesley Sneijder netting an excellent free-kick. Nigel de Jong also featured for Galatasaray.

Dick Advocaat’s Feyenoord recorded another victory on Sunday as they hammered Rizespor 5-1 on Sunday. Robin van Persie played the full game but didn’t get himself on the scoresheet.

Adam Maher was back in the Osmanlispor line-up on Monday and played 80 minutes of the 1-1 draw with Konyaspor before being substituted.

French Ligue 1

Karim Rekik had a torrid evening on Saturday as his Marseille side were crushed 4-0 by Monaco. The Dutchman played the full game at left back.

Portuguese Primeira Liga

Bas Dost scored the only goal of the game as Sporting Lisbon recorded a 1-0 win at Boavista. Marvin Zeegelar also played the full game, but Luc Castaignos didn’t feature.

Russian Premier League

Spartak Moscow extended their lead at the top of the league with a 1-0 win over Terek Grozny on Saturday. Quincy Promes played the full game and got the assist on the only goal.
