A round-up of how all the Dutchmen playing in Europe’s biggest league’s fared over the weekend.

Turkish Super Lig

Vincent Janssen was in good form for Fenerbahce as they beat rivals Besiktas 2-1 in an Istanbul derby. The striker won two penalties, and scored the second one in a feisty game which saw five red cards. Ryan Babel netted the Besiktas goal, while Jeremain Lens appeared from the bench late on.

Eljero Elia played 64 minutes as Istanbul Basaksehir slumped to a 1-0 defeat to Genclerbirligi.

German Bundesliga

Arjen Robben equaled Giovane Elber’s record as the top scoring foreigner for Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga with a goal in Friday’s 2-2 draw with Wolfsburg on Friday. The winger netted his 92nd league goal to make it 2-0 but Wolfburg, who started with Paul Verhaegh and brought on Riechedly Bazoer late on, fought back to earn a point.

Peter Bosz’s Borussia Dortmund continued their excellent form with a 6-1 win over Borussia Monchengladbach on Saturday evening.

Jetro Willems and Jonathan de Guzman both played the full ninety minutes as Eintracht Frankfurt lost 2-1 at Red Bull Leipzig. Willems had an impressive game with six tackles, two interceptions and four clearances, while also providing three key passes.

Jeffrey Gouweleeuw kept a clean sheet at the back as Augsburg drew 0-0 with VFB Stuttgart.

Karim Rekik had a difficult afternoon as Hertha Berlin were reduced to ten men before going down 1-0 at Mainz 05.

English Premier League

Ronald Koeman got a much needed win with his Everton side coming from behind to beat Bournemouth 2-1. Davy Klaassen did not impress and was taken off before the hour mark, while Nathan Ake played 83 minutes for Bournemouth. Maarten Stekelenburg was an unused substitute.

Patrick van Aanholt and Timothy Fosu-Mensah played the full ninety minutes for Crystal Palace but couldn’t prevent a heavy 5-0 defeat to Manchester City. Jairo Riedewald was an unused substitute.

Manchester United, who brought Daley Blind on as a second half substitute beat Southampton 1-0. Wesley Hoedt played the full game for Southampton while Virgil van Dijk was an unused substitute.

Erik Pieters and Bruno Martins Indi started for Stoke City, while Ibrahim Afellay came off the bench in their 4-0 home defeat to Chelsea. It was Afellay’s first appearance of the campaign.

Mike van der Hoorn and Leroy Fer both started for Swansea City in their 2-1 defeat at home to Watford. Van der Hoorn was substituted at half time. Both Luciano Narsingh and Daryl Janmaat were unused substitutes.

Georginio Wijnaldum played the full ninety minutes of Liverpool’s 3-2 win over Leicester City on Saturday evening. The midfielder was hardly involved in the game, only touching the ball 35 times in 90 minutes.

Davy Propper put in an impressive performance as Brighton edged out Newcastle United 1-0 on Sunday. The midfielder played the full game and put in some important challenges as his new side earned their second win of the season.

Rajiv van la Parra came off the bench on 63 minutes as Huddersfield drew 0-0 with Burnley.

French Ligue 1

Anwar El Ghazi played 55 minutes of Lille’s 4-0 defeat to Monaco but won’t be happy with his performance after an error which led to one of the goals.

Memphis Depay was surprisingly left out of Lyon’s squad for their tie with Dijon on Saturday. Without the winger, Lyon could only draw 3-3 with Kenny Tete providing an assist.

Wesley Sneijder was an unused substitute in OGC Nice’s 2-2 draw with Angers.

Italian Serie A

Bram Nuytinck got himself an assist and hit the bar for Udinese in their 3-1 defeat at Roma. Kevin Strootman also played the full game.

Timo Letschert made a goal line clearance in an impressive performance at the back for Sassuolo on Sunday. However, he did not prevent his side from losing 1-0.

Marten de Roon played the full game as Atalanta drew 1-1 at Fiorentina. Hans Hateboer was an unused substitute.

Spanish La Liga

Jasper Cillessen was an unused substitute in Barcelona’s 3-0 win at Girona.

Belgian Jupiler League

Ruud Vormer claimed an assist as Club Brugge bear Charleroi 2-1. Vormer and Stefano Denswil played the full game while Jordy Clasie remained on the bench.

Sandy Walsh was an unused substitute in Zulte Waregem’s 1-0 win at Gent.

Albert Stuivenberg’s Genk were held to a 1-1 draw by KV Oostende, who didn’t include Richairo Zivkovic in their squad.

Portuguese Liga NOS

Sporting were held to a 1-1 draw by Moreirense on Saturday night with Bas Dost playing the full game. The striker couldn’t net for the second game running.

English Championship

Jaap Stam’s Reading were held to a 1-1 draw by Hull City with Roy Beerens and Joey van den Berg both playing the full game, while Pelle Clement was an unused substitute.

Joost van Aken’s first Sheffield derby ended in defeat as Wednesday went down 4-2 at home to United on Sunday. The defender played the full game but didn’t have a performance to remember.

Brentford beat Bolton 3-0 with Florian Jozefzoon coming off the bench with 25 minutes left.

Yanic Wildschut appeared from the bench on 56 minutes but couldn’t prevent Norwich from being held to a 0-0 draw by Bristol City.

Jay-Roy Grot appeared from the bench with four minutes left as Leeds United beat Ipswich Town 3-2.
