A round-up of how all the Dutch stars playing in Europe’s biggest leagues fared over the weekend. 

French Ligue 1

Memphis Depay’s fine form continued on Sunday as the winger got two assists as Lyon defeated Caen 2-1. Memphis now has 10 goals and eight assists this season. Kenny Tete also put in an impressive performance at right-back, playing the full match and making three interceptions and seven clearances.

Terence Kongolo got a rare start for Monaco on Saturday evening and put in a good performance in a 1-0 victory over Angers. Kongolo made four tackles, seven clearances and seven interceptions during the game.

Italian Serie A

Kevin Strootman netted his first league goal of the season as Roma defeated Spal 3-1 on Friday evening. The midfielder hammered in a shot from close range.

Hans Hateboer played the full ninety minutes as Atalanta drew 1-1 with Torino on Saturday. The right-back made four tackles, one interception and a clearance during the game.

Stefan de Vrij had a solid game as Lazio defeated Sampdoria 2-1 on Sunday evening. The centre-back made 10 clearances, two interceptions and two tackles.

Gregory van der Wiel was an unused substitute as Cagliari drew 1-1 at Bologna.

German Bundesliga

Peter Bosz remains under pressure as his Dortmund side could only manage a 1-1 draw at Bayer Leverkusen despite the hosts being reduced to ten men in the first half. Dortmund have now slipped to sixth in the table.

Jetro Willems got an assist as Eintracht Frankfurt came from behind to defeat Hertha Berlin 2-1. Karim Rekik played the full ninety minutes for Hertha but couldn’t prevent the defeat.

Jeffrey Gouweleeuw played the full game as Augsburg defeated Mainz 3-1 thanks to a double from former Heerenveen forward Alfred Finnbogason.

Riechedly Bazoer stayed on the bench for Wolfsburg in their 3-0 win over Borussia Monchengladbach. However, Paul Verhaegh played the full game at right-back.

Rick van Drongelen was an unused substitute during Hamburg’s 0-0 draw at Freiburg.

Spanish La Liga

Jasper Cillessen was an unused substitute as Barcelona drew 2-2 with Celta Vigo.

English Premier League

Georginio Wijnaldum played in a three-man defence for Liverpool in their 5-1 win over Brighton on Saturday. The midfielder admitted he struggled during the game but Liverpool eased to a victory. Davy Propper couldn’t have an impact for Brighton.

Leroy Fer returned to the Swansea City starting eleven on Saturday but he made an error which led to a 2-1 defeat at Stoke City. Mike van der Hoorn played the full game for the Welsh side, while Bruno Martins Indi and Erik Pieters started for Stoke. Martins Indi was substituted on 53 minutes, and Ibrahim Afellay came off the bench with 20 minutes left.

Marvin Zeegelaar played the full game as Watford drew 1-1 with Tottenham. Daryl Janmaat remained on the bench for the Hornets.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Jairo Riedewald were unused substitutes as Crystal Palace drew 0-0 with West Brom.

Daley Blind remained on the bench as Manchester United defeated Arsenal 3-1.

Virgil van Dijk and Wesley Hoedt partnered each other in the Southampton defence which drew 1-1 with a Bournemouth side that featured Nathan Ake. Van Dijk had a good game, but Hoedt made an error which led to the Bournemouth goal.

Portuguese Liga Nos

Bas Dost netted his 50th Sporting Lisbon goal from the penalty spot which earned his side a slender 1-0 win over Belenenses.

Turkish Super Lig

Ryan Babel played the full game as Besiktas hammered rivals Galatasaray 3-0 on Saturday. Jeremain Lens was an unused substitute.

Robin van Persie was an unused substitute in Fenerbahce’s 4-2 win over Kasimpasa.
