A round up of how all the Dutch stars around Europe’s biggest league’s fared this weekend.

Virgil van Dijk struck a 90th minute equaliser as Ronald Koeman’s Southampton earned a 1-1 draw against Sunderland. Jordy Clasie played 65 minutes for the Saints while Maarten Stekelenburg was an unused substitute. Patrick van Aanholt played the full game for Sunderland.
Georginio Wijnaldum and Daryl Janmaat endured another awful evening as Newcastle United went down 3-1 at home to Bournemouth leaving their place in the Premier League under serious threat. Vurnon Anita came on as a substitute for the Magpies.
Ibrahim Afellay and Erik Pieters were in good form for Stoke City as they earned a 1-1 draw at Guus Hiddink’s Chelsea on Saturday.
Nathan Ake was excellent at centre back for Watford in their tie with Leicester City, but couldn’t prevent his side from going down 1-0. The youngster on loan from Chelsea hit the bar with a header in the first half.
Daley Blind was the only Dutchman to start for Louis van Gaal’s Manchester United in their tie with West Brom. An early red card for Juan Mata sent Man Utd on route to a 1-0 defeat, with Memphis Depay and Timothy Fosu-Mensah making little impact as late substitutes.
Michael Vorm was an unused substitute for Tottenham in their 2-2 draw with Arsenal.
Italian Serie A
Lazio came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw at Torino in an entertaining tie on Sunday morning. Wesley Hoedt started in the centre of defence for Lazio, while Edson Braafheid was an early substitute. Ricardo Kishna remained rooted to the bench.
Marten de Roon played 90 minutes for Atalanta, but couldn’t stop his side from going down 2-0 at home to Juventus.
Urby Emanuelson was an unused substitute as Hellas Verona went down 3-0 against Sampdoria.
Jonathan de Guzman was an unused substitute for Carpi in their 0-0 draw at Bologna.
Kevin Strootman didn’t appear from the bench as Roma hammered Fiorentina 4-1 on Friday.
German Bundesliga
Arjen Robben started the massive clash between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, but failed to make a major impact in the 0-0 draw.
Klaas jan Huntelaar netted a first minute penalty, his 8th goal of the season, to send Schalke on their way to a 3-1 win over Cologne.
Jeffrey Gouweleeuw was sent off and conceded a penalty in the 90th minute of Augsburg’s 3-3 draw with Bayer Leverkusen. Paul Verhaegh also had a poor game for Augsburg, netting an own goal.
Roy Beerens was an unused substitute in Hertha Berlin’s 2-0 loss against Hamburg.
Roel Brouwers was on the bench as Borussia Monchengladbach went down 2-1 against Wolfsburg, who are still without the injured Bas Dost.
Spanish La Liga
The only two Dutchmen in La Liga, Rafael van der Vaart and Ricky van Wolfswinkel, were not involved in Real Betis’s 2-0 win over Granada on Sunday.
French Ligue 1
Marseille’s disappointing campaign continued on Sunday with a 1-1 draw with Toulouse. Karim Rekik played the full ninety minutes.
PSG were held to a shock 0-0 draw by Montpellier on Saturday. Gregory van der Wiel played the full game, but couldn’t help his side make a breakthrough.
Portuguese Primeira Liga
Bruno Martins Indi started for Porto in their tie with Braga on Sunday evening, but the defender endured a terrible evening which ended with a red card as his side went down 3-1.
Turkish Super Lig
Fenerbahce extended their lead at the top of the table on Sunday with a 3-0 win over Akhisar Belediyespor. Robin van Persie started the game, and played 84 minutes, but didn’t get himself on the scoresheet.
A bad week for Galatasaray got worse on Saturday as they were held to a 3-3 draw by Istanbul Basaksehir and are now down in fifth. Wesley Sneijder played the full game, while Ryan Donk was a last minute substitute.
Diego Biseswar and Omer Bayram both featured as Kayserispor lost 2-0 at home to Genclerbirligi. They are now only three points above the drop zone.
Russian Premier League
After a long winter break, domestic football returned in Russia this weekend and on Sunday Quincy Promes lined up for Spartak Moscow in their derby with CSKA. The Dutch winger played the full game, but couldn’t prevent a 1-0 defeat.
