A round up of how all the Dutch player’s fared during the weekend’s action across Europe’s top leagues.

Daley Blind put in an excellent performance for Manchester United in their 3-1 win over Liverpool on Saturday evening. The centre back kept Liverpool’s attackers quiet and also opened the scoring with a lovely finish from the edge of the box. Memphis Depay had a game to forget though as he was taken off at half time after a poor performance.
Virgil van Dijk made his debut for Southampton and put in a solid performance in the 0-0 draw with West Brom. Maarten Stekelenburg kept a clean sheet, while Jordy Clasie missed out through injury.
Watford earned a 1-0 win over Swansea on Saturday, with Steven Berghuis coming off the bench with twenty minutes left. Marvin Emnes did not appear for Swanse.
Leandro Bacuna’s Aston Villa let a 2-0 lead slip before losing 3-2 to Leicester City on Sunday. The Dutch right backed was subbed with four minutes left.
Jeremain Lens put in a battling performance against Tottenham, but couldn’t prevent his Sunderland from losing 1-0. Patrick van Aanholt also played the full game, while Michael Vorm was on the bench.
Stoke City lost 2-0 at Arsenal with Marco van Ginkel and Erik Pieters both playing the full match for the Potters, while Ibrahim Afellay missed the game through suspension.
Newcastle United’s poor start to the season continued on Monday with a 2-0 defeat at West Ham. Georginio Wijnaldum, Tim Krul, Vurnon Anita and Daryl Janmaat all started, while Siem de Jong came off the bench. Both Janmaat and De Jong missed good chances for the Magpies, while Anita was one of Newcastle’s best performers during the first half.
Wesley Hoedt made his debut for Lazio in the 2-0 win over Udinese, and put in a very impressive performance. Stefan de Vrij missed the game through injury, while Ricardo Kishna and Edson Braafheid remained on the bench.
Nigel de Jong was dropped to the bench for AC Milan in their 1-0 defeat to rivals Inter Milan.
Marten de Roon’s Atalanta side drew 2-2 away to Sassuolo on Sunday with the Dutch midfielder playing the full match.
Arjen Robben missed Bayern Munich’s 2-1 win over Augsburg on Saturday after his injury during international duty. Paul Verhaegh played the full match for Augsburg.
Bas Dost couldn’t make the difference in Wolfsburg’s 0-0 draw at Ingolstadt and was substituted with twenty minutes left.
Klaas jan Huntelaar missed an early penalty, but recovered to net his first goal of the season in Schalke’s 2-1 win over Mainz. The striker sealed the three points for his side on the hour mark.
Charlison Benschop came off the bench for Hannover 96 against Borussia Dortmund, but couldn’t make a difference in the 4-2 defeat.
Luc Castaignos was on fire for Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday, netting twice and adding an assist in the 6-2 hammering of Cologne. The striker was eventually taken off to a rousing reception with ten minutes left.
Roel Brouwers started in the centre of defence for Borussia Monchengladbach, but was given a torrid time in the 3-0 defeat to Hamburg before being taken off.
La Liga
Ricky van Wolfswinkel and Rafael van der Vaart did not appear from the bench as Real Betis earned a slim 1-0 win over Real Sociedad.
French Ligue 1
Karim Rekik’s Marseille put in a good performance on Sunday to hammer Bastia 4-1. The centre back played the full match and was solid at the back, despite receiving an early yellow card.
PSG slipped to a shock 2-2 draw at home to Bordeaux to end their 100% win rate this season, but Gregory van der Wiel didn’t make it off the bench.
Portuguese Primeira Liga
Bruno Martins Indi remained on the bench for Porto’s 3-1 win over Arouca, which saw former FC Twente winger Jesus Corona net twice on his debut for the club.
Marvin Zeegelar played 82 minutes of Rio Ave’s narrow 2-1 defeat to Sporting Lisbon.
Turkish Super Lig
Robin van Persie played just over an hour of Fenerbahce’s 1-0 win over Kasimpasa, but offered little in attack except missing one good chance. On the opposite team Ryan Donk played the full ninety minutes.
Galatasaray labored to a 1-1 draw against Mersin Idmanyurdu with Wesley Sneijder playing the full ninety minutes and setting up Lukas Podolski for his side’s goal.
Russian Premier League
Quincy Promes was once again the main man for Spartak Moscow as his 27th minute strike was enough to give his side a 1-0 win over Rostov.
Alexander Buttner was not in the squad for Dinamo Moscow’s 4-0 loss to Krasnodar.
