We round up all the boxing day action which featured Dutchmen in the Premier League and SPL.

We begin in the Scottish Premier League where Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk scored a stunning individual effort to earn his Celtic side a 1-0 win over St Johnstone. The defender weaved through a number of opponents before slotting past the goalkeeper.

Also in the SPL, Ross County who featured Dutchmen Melvin de Leeuw, and Kevin Luckassen were beaten 2-0 by Hibernian.
In the English Premier League, Manchester United were still missing Robin van Persie, due to injury, but he was not needed as they scraped past Hull City 3-2.
Leandro Bacuna was a 67th minute substitute, but he could not stop Aston Villa from being defeated 1-0 by Crystal Palace, while Jonathan de Guzman was also a substitute in Swansea’s 1-0 loss at Chelsea.
Rene Meulensteen secured his first away win as Fulham boss, beating a Norwich side that featured Leroy Fer, and Ricky van Wolfswinkel 2-1 at Carrow Road.
Newcastle United were the big winners on boxing day, as their side featuring Vurnon Anita, and Tim Krul hammered Stoke City, who included Erik Pieters from the start.
