Ryan Babel put in a man of the match performance with a goal and assist in Besiktas 3-0 win over Genclerbirligi.
Wesley Sneijder and Nigel de Jong both appeared from the bench in the second half as Galatasaray hammered Adanaspor 4-0.
French Ligue 1
Memphis Depay appeared from the bench with twenty minutes left of Lyon’s disappointing 1-1 draw against 10-man Rennes. The winger was surprisingly left out the starting line-up and couldn’t make an impact when coming on.
Anwar El Ghazi came off the bench with fifteen minutes to go of Lille’s 1-0 win at Bastia.
English Premier League
Georginio Wijnaldum put in another solid shift for Liverpool in their 3-1 win over Ronald Koeman’s Everton on Saturday lunchtime. The midfielder completed 90.7% of his passes during the game. Maarten Stekelenburg was an unused substitute.
Vincent Janssen was handed a rare Premier League start on Saturday but again couldn’t net for Tottenham in their 2-0 win over Burnley. The striker played 73 minutes before being substituted. Michel Vorm was an unused substitute.
Daley Blind and Timothy Fosu-Mensah remained on the bench as Manchester United were held to a 0-0 draw by West Brom.
Erik Pieters and Bruno Martins Indi had a poor game as Stoke City succumb to a 2-0 defeat at Leicester City. Ibrahim Afellay was an unused substitute.
Daryl Janmaat came off the bench in the first half for Watford in their 1-0 win over Sunderland.
Leroy Fer, Luciano Narsingh and Marten de Roon all played the full ninety minutes as Middlesbrough held Swansea City to a 0-0 draw in Wales. Mike van der Hoorn was an unused substitute.
Jordy Clasie was an unused substitute in Southampton’s 0-0 draw with Bournemouth.
Italian Serie A
Lazio beat Sassuolo 2-1 on Saturday night with Stefan de Vrij playing the whole game, while his defensive partner Wesley Hoedt was substituted on the hour mark. Timo Letschert was an unused substitute for Sassuolo.
Jonathan de Guzman had a disappointing game as Chievo slumped to a 1-2 defeat at home to Crotone.
Hans Hateboer came off the bench with seven minutes left of Atalanta’s 5-0 win over Genoa.
German Bundesliga
Arjen Robben came off the bench on 62 minutes for Bayern Munich in their 6-0 win over Augsburg. Paul Verhaegh started for Augsburg but was substituted with ten minutes left.
Riechedly Bazoer played 73 minutes of Wolfsburg’s 3-3 draw with Bayer Leverkusen before being substituted. The midfielder only completed 76% of his passes, earned a yellow card and made one tackle while he was on the pitch.
Klaas-Jan Huntelaar came off the bench late on as Schalke drew 1-1 with rivals Borussia Dortmund.
Spanish La Liga
Ryan Donk was an unused substitute in Real Betis 2-1 defeat at Espanyol.
Jasper Cillessen remained on the bench as Barcelona beat Granada 4-1.
Portuguese Liga NOS
Marvin Zeegelar assisted the winning goal as Sporting Lisbon beat Arouca 2-1. Bas Dost also played the full game but for once the striker wasn’t on the scoresheet. Luc Castaignos was an unused substitute.
Russian Premier League
Quincy Promes scored a 94th-minute winner as Spartak Moscow beat FC Orenburg 3-2 on Monday night.
Belgian Jupiler League
Albert Stuivenberg’s Genk hammered Lokern 4-0 with Jean-Paul Boetius netting the 3rd goal.
Bram Nuytinck had a solid game at the back as Anderlecht beat Zulte Waregem 2-1. Robert Muhren appeared from the bench for Zulte Waregem with a minute to go.
Ricardo van Rhijn, Lex Immers, Stefano Denswil and Ruud Vormer all played the full 90 minutes for Club Brugge on Sunday but couldn’t prevent a 2-1 defeat at Gent.
English Championship
Jaap Stam’s Reading earned a 1-0 win over Leeds United on Saturday evening with Roy Beerens playing an hour of the match.
Vurnon Anita played the full ninety minutes as Newcastle United beat Wigan 2-1.
Rajiv van la Parra had a lively game but Huddersfield were shocked 1-0 at home to Burton Albion.
Michael Mancienne remained on the bench as Nottingham Forest drew 1-1 with Preston.
Maikel Kieftenbeld played 86 minutes of Birmingham City’s 1-1 draw with Ipwich before being substituted.
Yanic Wildschut appeared from the bench with twenty minutes to go of Norwich City’s 2-0 defeat at Aston Villa.
Marvin Emnes failed to make an impact and was substituted on 70 minutes of Blackburn’s 1-0 defeat to Brighton.
Florian Jozefzoon came off the bench on 54 minutes and missed a sitter as Brentford beat Bristol City 2-0.
Glenn Loovens played the full game as Sheffield Wednesday were held to a 1-1 draw by Barnsley.
