dordrecht 3A depleted Eerste Divisie fixture list this weekend due to a nuclear summit in The Hague & the need to draft in police from other areas gave Dordrecht the chance to extend their lead to four points over Willem II whose game was cancelled. Dordrecht welcomed Twente Jong to the GN Bouw Stadion, the visitors arrived having won their last two games but prior to that had lost five in a row. Dordrecht took the lead through on loan midfielder Youri Loen who hit his first goal for the club since joining from NEC, a side Dordrecht could well replace in Eredivisie next season. Twente Jong levelled on 50 minutes through Vida but late goals from top scorer Paul Gladon & Genaro Snijders gave Dordrecht the points to the delight of the 2908 crowd.

VVV Venlo closed the gap on Willem II to four points after a 3-2 win over Oss, Leon de Kogel, Oguzhan Turk & Dyon Gijzen were on target for Venlo. Fortuna Sittard’s 7 game unbeaten run is over after they were beaten 1-0 at home to another side on a fine run Ajax Jong who recorded their sixth win in seven games lifting them to eighth in the table. Emmen were in determined mood to reward their fans with a win following last week’s 8-0 hammering at Oss, 2122 hardy souls turned up & they were rewarded with a 73rd minute Roland Bergkamp goal to give them a 1-0 victory over a Eindhoven side who have dropped from third place towards mid table after losing six of their last seven games, their only win in that period came against table topping Dordrecht.

Achilles 29 played host to an woefully out of form Sparta Rotterdam & no real surprises that neither side could muster a winner as the game ended 1-1, Also ending 1-1 was the game between Helmond Sport & Telstar, Helmond led early through Serhat Koc but the visitors struck in injury time through Toine van Huizen the ex Sparta Rotterdam defender’s fourth goal if the season. Volendam welcomed PSV Jong to the Kras Stadion, the home side had gone five games without a win whilst PSV arrived six unbeaten but it was Volendam who triumphed in this encounter thanks to a brace from Rob Muhren taking his tally to 23 goals in 27 starts, Ludcinio Marengo was also on target in Volendam’s 3-1 win.
