A round-up of all the action from the third gameweek in the Eerste Divisie.

nc mvvNAC 1-2 MVV

Early pace setters NAC Breda have fallen off the top of the table after a shock 2-1 defeat to MVV. Thomas Verheijdt stunned the home crowd when he headed in the opener on 18 minutes, but Kevin van Diermen leveled for NAC two minutes into the second half. On 67 minutes Arno Verschueren was sent off for the home side and from the resulting free kick Alessandro Ciranni fired MVV to an unlikely victory. NAC are now down to 7th, while MVV are 8th.

Jong Ajax 5-2 Den Bosch

Vaclav Cerny hit a hat-trick as Jong Ajax eased to victory over Den Bosch. The visitors took the lead early on through Ben Santermans, but Cerny equalised a minute later before Abdelhak Nouri put Ajax in front from the penalty spot. Romero Regales equalised in the second half, but Ajax then run riot with an own goal and two goals from Cerny wrapping up their second victory of the season. Jong Ajax are now second and Den Bosch 14th.

VVV 2-0 Oss

VVV Venlo have moved to the top of the table after a comfortable win over FC Oss. Jonathan Opoku opened the scoring on 17 minutes before Torino Hunte settled the match in the second half. Oss are ninth after the defeat.

RKC 1-2 FC Eindhoven

FC Eindhoven have registered their first win of the season after seeing off RKC in Waalwijk. Mart Lieder put the visitors in front on 32 minutes before Kyle de Silva doubled their lead with six minutes left. Pieter Langedijk pulled one back for the home side late on but it proved to be nothing more than a consolation. The victory moves Eindhoven to 15th while RKC are 13th.

Jong PSV 1-0 Emmen

Jong PSV continued their impressive start to the season with a 1-0 win over FC Emmen. Albert Gudmundsson netted the only goal of the game with an excellent strike on 49 minutes. Despite the win PSV drop one place to fourth on goal difference, while Emmen are 11th.

De Graafschap 3-1 Jong Utrecht

A hat-trick from Piotr Parzyszek ensured De Graafschap came from behind to beat Jong Utrecht.

Serhat Cakmak put the visitors into an unlikely lead on 22 minutes, but Parzyszek equalised from the penalty spot before putting his side in front just after the break. The striker then completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot with 25 minutes to go. The victory puts De Graafschap seventh, but Jong Utrecht are bottom.

Dordrecht 0-1 Cambuur

Cambuur have their first win of the season after a late goal saw off ten-man Dordrecht.  Mawouna Amevor was dismissed in the first half for two yellow cards but it took until the 75th minute for Cambuur to take advantage with Sander van de Streek netting. Cambuur are now tenth and Dordrecht 16th.

Volendam 3-0 Telstar

Volendam maintained their strong start to the season with a simple 3-0 win over Telstar. Goals from Rihairo Meulens, Jack Tuijp and Gyliano van Velzen in the first half wrapped up a comfortable victory for the home side who coasted through the second half. Volendam now rise to 3rd while Telstar are second bottom.

Helmond Sport 1-2 Achilles 29

Achilles 29 have their first win of the season after overcoming Helmond Sport. Omid Popalzay gave the visitors the lead on 18 minutes, but Giovanni Hiwat quickly equalised just before the half hour mark. Achilles 29 weren’t to be denied and Thijs Hendriks sealed victory in the second half to move his side up to twelve. Helmond Sport drop to 17th.

Fortuna Sittard 2-1 Almere City

Fortuna Sittard came from behind to beat nine-man Almere City. Silvester van der Water gave the visitors the lead after only three minutes, but after Kam Ramsteijn saw red Fortuna Sittard fought back. Ferry de Regt equalised a minute after the red card and Abdelaziz Khalouta put Fortuna Sittard in front with ten minutes left. A difficult evening for Almere City was made worse with Tom Overtoom seeing red for a second yellow. Almere City are third bottom after the loss while Fortuna Sittard are fifth.
