A round-up of all the action from the second round of the Eerste Divisie.

nac achillAchilles 29 1-2 NAC Breda

NAC Breda are the early pace setters in the Dutch second division after a 2-1 win over Achilles 29 on Friday night. On loan defender Ashley Smith-Brown opened the scoring for NAC in the first half before Cyriel Dessers doubled their lead just after the hour mark. Boy van de Beek pulled one back for the hosts late on, but Achilles 29 couldn’t find an equaliser. The defeat leaves Achilles 29 without a point and second bottom, while NAC are ahead on goal difference.

MVV 1-2 VVV Venlo

VVV maintained their perfect start to the season after Moreno Rutten’s 90th minute winner gave them a 2-1 win over MVV. The game seemed to be heading for a 0-0 draw before Danny Post struck seven minutes from time to give NAC the lead. Nicky Kuipers seemed to have earned the home side a point when he equalised on 90 minutes, but Rutten pounced late in injury time to keep VVV level with NAC at the top.

Almere City 1-4 Jong Ajax

A hat-trick from Richairo Zivkovic saw Jong Ajax sweep Almere City away on Friday evening. The young striker has a point to prove in Amsterdam and opened the scoring after only nine minutes after beating the home side’s offside trap. Zivkovic made it 2-0 eight minutes before the break with a stunning finish before Vaclav Cerny added a third early in the second half. Zivkovic pounced on a defensive error to complete his hat-trick 15 minutes from time before Gaston Salasiwa netted a late consolation for the hosts. The victory puts Jong Ajax third while Almere City drop to 17th

Cambuur 1-1 Jong PSV

Cambuur are still searching for their first win of the season after being held by Jong PSV. Young striker Sam Lammers starred for Jong PSV last weekend and he netted his fifth goal in two games to put his side ahead on the hour mark. Cambuur battled for a way back into the game and eventually found their equaliser in injury time through Erik Bakker. Cambuur move to 14th with their first point of the season while Jong PSV are 5th.

Oss 3-1 Helmond Sport

Two late goals from Tom Boere earned fc Oss a 3-1 win over Helmond Sport to move the club into the top four. The visitors took the lead after 18 minutes through Jason Bourdouxhe but Nassir el-Aissati equalised on 64 minutes. Oss were awarded a penalty with seven minutes left and Boere made no mistake from the spot and the attacker then wrapped up the victory with his second just before full time.

FC Eindhoven 0-1 Volendam

A single goal from Jack Tuijp was enough to earn Volendam a slim victory over FC Eindhoven. The striker had already seen one effort ruled out before he slotted in the only goal of the game on 72 minutes after a clever backheel from Rihairo Meulens. Volendam move to 8th, while Eindhoven slip to bottom after their second defeat of the season.

Emmen 1-0 RKC Waalwijk

Emmen recorded their first win of the season with a slender 1-0 victory over RKC Waalwijk. Rogier Khrone scored the only goal of the game in the 57th minute to move Emmen onto four points and up to 7th, while RKC drop to 11th.

Den Bosch 2-1 De Graafschap

Den Bosch came from behind to beat De Graafschap 2-1 and put their 5-4 defeat to Jong PSV behind them. Dean Koolhof had given De Graafschap the lead in the 15th minute but a penalty from Romero Regales and a Arda Havar strike sealed victory for the home side. Den Bosch move to 10th with De Graafschap one place in front.

Telstar 1-1 Fortuna Sittard

Two goals in injury time saw Telstar and Fortuna Sittard settle for a point each. Djibril Dianessy thought he had sealed victory for Fortuna Sittard with a goal in the 90th minute, but Telstar went straight down the other end and Donny van Ipren equalised. Its a first point of the season for Telstar and they move to 15th while Fortuna Sittard are 6th.

Jong Utrecht 1-1 Dordrecht

Jong Utrecht earned their first point in the Eerste Divisie after holding Dordrecht to a 1-1 draw. Darren Roshuevel gave the home side the lead on 11 minutes with a strike that went in off the post. However, Jafar Arias equalised five minutes before the break to deny Jong Utrecht their first win in professional football. Utrecht were awarded a penalty with three minutes left, but Hamza Boukhari’s effort was saved.
