Two early goals from Chidera Ejuke led Heerenveen to a 3-0 victory over VVV Venlo.

In the 8th minute, the visitors took the lead with Sheral Floranus setting up Ejuke for a simple finish. Five minutes later, the winger got his second with a measured shot from distance after a poor pass by keeper Thorsten Kirschbaum.

VVV had the chance to make it 2-1 before the break when they were awarded a penalty but Haji Wright’s spot-kick was kept out by Warner Hahn.

The hosts tried to get back into the game in the second half but failed and with four minutes left, Jens Odgaard sealed the victory.

Heerenveen are now up to 11th while VVV are 12th.
