The 33-year-old wants a transfer this summer and several clubs from France and the middle-east have been in contact with Feyenoord over the midfielder. The Rotterdam club has accepted El Ahmadi’s wish to leave and will cooperate on a departure.

El Ahmadi is on his way home from the World Cup after Morocco’s group stage exit and talks with interested parties are expected to begin soon.

The veteran, who is in his second spell with Feyenoord having rejoined the club from Aston Villa in 2014, still has one-year left on his contract in Rotterdam and will earn the club a “Considerable fee” according to VI.

Feyenoord have plenty of midfield options to replace El Ahmadi already at the club including new signing Yassin Ayoub, Sofyan Amrabat and Renato Tapia.
