Emmen’s wait for a first home Eredivisie victory goes on after they were held to a 1-1 draw by De Graafschap.

Both promoted sides got their campaigns off to a good start with victories in the opening round but since then neither has picked up a point.

De Graafschap’s Stef Nijland was denied early on by Emmen goalkeeper Kjell Scherpen while at the other end Hidde Jurjus was forced into a good stop just before the break.

Emmen controlled the second half, but failed to break the deadlock until the 81st minute through Alexander Bannink who scrambled the ball into the net. Emmen were on their way to their first home win in the Eredivisie but in the 88th minute, Fabian Serrarens sent a header against the post before netting on the rebound to earn De Graafschap a point.

Both sides now move onto four points for the season.
