The first half was short on quality and Willem II created the only real chance with the ball dropping to Samuel Armenteros following a corner, but the striker could only fire against the bar.
A flurry of yellow cards started the second half as both sides battled for dominance in midfield, but chances to open the scoring were few and far between. Bruno Andrade forced Jelle ten Rouwelaar into a fingertip save, and Robert Braber headed a corner inches past the post for Willem II while at the other end new NAC striker Guyon Fernandez had an effort cleared off the line as the two sides settled for a draw.
NAC are now four points off bottom placed Dordrecht while Willem II sit 10th.
