After a shortened weekend of action in the Eredivisie, we have picked PSV winger Memphis Depay as our player of the week.

However the mask did not prevent the 20-year-old from putting in one of his best performances this season, as he inspired his side to a 3-1 victory which saw them climb up to 2nd in the table.

Depay dazzled on the left wing, often leaving right back Henk Dijkhuizen chasing shadows as the PSV player ghosted past him, and the rest of the Roda defence with ease on several occasions.

It was great skill from the winger that led to Bryan Ruiz netting PSV’s second, and if not for several saves from Roda keeper Filip Kurto, Depay would have added his name to the scoresheet.

If Depay can keep up this level of performance from now until the end of the season then he will definitely be on the plane to the World Cup in Brazil, and possibly even a starter on the left wing.
