Round 11 of the Eredivisie was full of shocks with the traditional top four all failing to win. Here is the Football-Oranje team of the week.

Joel Drommel (FC Twente)

The Twente goalkeeper is having an excellent campaign and that continued on Saturday as his side stunned Ajax 2-1 in Amsterdam.

Drommel had a strong game in the Johan Cruijff ArenA, and is once again being linked with a move to top clubs, including Ajax as a potential replacement for Andre Onana.

Ahmed Touba (RKC Waalwijk)

Touba had an excellent game as RKC Waalwijk defeated Fortuna Sittard on Saturday with the centre-back not only solid defensively but also adding a crucial goal.

Pawel Bochniewicz (Heerenveen)

Heerenveen was unlucky to only draw 2-2 against PSV Eindhoven on Sunday with Bochniewicz keeping Donyell Malen and Cody Gakpo quiet throughout the game.

Bochniewicz made five tackles, nine clearances and seven interceptions during the game.

George Cox (Fortuna Sittard)

Cox is having a very good season despite Fortuna Sittard’s struggles. With the club finally getting their first victory of the campaign this weekend it was no surprise that the Englishman was a star.

Cox provided an assist in the 3-2 win over Willem II.

Azor Matusiwa (Groningen)

Groningen completed dominated AZ Alkmaar’s midfield on Sunday thanks to Matusiwa, who was on top during their 2-1 win.

Two tackles and three interceptions from Matusiwa helped Groningen to victory, while he also completed two dribbles.

Joey Veerman (Heerenveen)

Veerman is an exceptional talent and he was outstanding in the 2-2 draw against PSV Eindhoven on Sunday.

Veerman got an assist, but also made four tackles, three interceptions, two clearances, and created two chances. Veerman also nearly scored but was denied by Mvogo.

Abdou Harroui (Sparta Rotterdam)

Sparta Rotterdam defeated Emmen 2-1 on Friday thanks to a wondergoal from their star player, Abdou Harroui.

The midfielder was excellent in the game and capped his performance with the goal. On Sunday, Harroui stated his hopes to continue representing the Netherlands over Morocco. Based on performances such as this, he is definitely a future option for Oranje.

Ahmed El Messaoudi (Groningen)

Groningen came from behind to defeat AZ Alkmaar on Sunday with El Messaoudi scoring both goals in a 2-1 victory.

The midfielder’s second goal was a lovely strike from distance into the bottom corner. The 25-year-old is having a productive season with four goals now in 11 games.

Queensy Menig (Twente)

The former Ajax talent came back to haunt the Amsterdammers on Saturday as he netted both goals in FC Twente’s shock 2-1 win.

A wonderful performance from the winger who is having a great season under Ron Jans.

Zian Flemming (Fortuna Sittard)

Flemming put in a great performance up front for Fortuna Sittard in their 3-2 win over Willem II. Flemming scored the third goal for the hosts.

Flemming helped his side by winning six aerial challenges, and making six clearances as Willem II threatened a comeback in the second half.

Finn Stokkers (RKC Waalwijk)

Stokkers is having a good season up front for RKC Waalwijk and scored another goal in their win over VVV-Venlo.

Stokkers took four shots, created one chance, won three aerial challenges and won three free-kicks in a dominant display.
