ziyech aVitesse are now top of the Eredivisie table after a 3-1 victory over Utrecht, while Ajax finally picked up an away win against NEC. PSV slipped up again, while Feyenoord and AZ fought out an entertaining 2-2 draw.

Here is our team of the week:

Goalkeeper- Diederik Boer (PEC Zwolle)

Did brilliantly to stop an early Luc Castaignos chance in PEC Zwolle’s 1-1 draw with Twente on Sunday, and went on to make a number of further saves in a very impressive performance

Right Back- Dion Malone (ADO Den Haag)

Very tidy performance by the right back in ADO Den Haag’s 3-0 win over Cambuur, helping out in defence and also bombing forward at times to join in the attack.

Left Back- Nicolai Boilesen (Ajax)

Set up Siem de Jong’s opener, and scored Ajax’s second goal in the 3-0 win over NEC Nijmegen. The left back’s best performance in the red and white so far in his career.

Centre Back- Kees Kwakman (NAC Breda)

PSV were leading NAC going into the second half, but then Kees Kwakman stepped up with two goals to down the Eindhoven side 2-1. His first goal a stabbed effort from a corner, before he brilliantly hooked a free kick into the corner to win all three points.

Centre Back-  Jan-Arie van der Heijden (Vitesse)

Kept Jacob Mulenga quiet during Vitesse’s 3-1 win over Utrecht to send them top of the league. Won every aerial dual he went in for and had a 94% pass completion. Very impressive from the Vitesse captain.

Midfielder- Mathias Gehrt (ADO Den Haag)

Star man in ADO Den Haag’s comfortable win over Cambuur, netting twice with only three shots, and controlling the midfield for his side.

Midfielder- Siem de Jong (Ajax)

With Kolbeinn Sigthorsson struggling up front, Ajax captain Siem de Jong returned to goal-scoring form, netting two of the three goals in Ajax’s win over NEC. His good week was made even better with a late call up to the Dutch national side following Dirk Kuyt’s injury.

Midfielder- Hakim Ziyech (Heerenveen)

An outstanding midfield performance by Ziyech saw Heerenveen breeze past RKC 5-2 on Friday night. It was from Ziyech’s perfect free kick that Heerenveen opened the scoring before the midfielder wrapped up the win late on with a stunning 35 yard chip.

Forward- Filip Kostic (Groningen)

Groningen are flying high in the Eredivisie table, and winger Filip Kostic is the main reason why. Kostic was again in deadly form as he netted twice in the 3-0 away win at Heracles.

Forward- Alfred Finnbogason (Heerenveen)

After a slight goal drought, Finnbogason was back on form in the 5-2 win over RKC with the Icelandic striker netting a hat-trick. Two penalties and a calm left footed finish silenced any critics, and Finnbogason moves further ahead in the goalscoring charts.

Forward- Jurchinio Antonia (Go Ahead Eagles)

With Roda JC on good form, they were expected to sweep past Go Ahead Eagles on Saturday, but the Deventar side were excellent, and fully deserved their 4-1 win. Antonia was the star of the show with two great goals, and his pace troubled the Roda backline throughout the game.
