gronPSV vs Heerenveen

This is the first match of the weekend and there’s a high chance it could be the most entertaining one. Both teams are in terrible form at the moment with PSV slipping down to 8th and Heerenveen 9th. It’s a tough match to predict but I expect PSV to bounce back from what has been a horible couple of weeks for them and get a win.

Match result: PSV – 1/3

AZ Alkmaar vs Roda JC

AZ have been in excellent form recently which has seen them move to 2nd in the table. Roda have also impressed lately and are currently in 11th. AZ were knocked off top spot last week after a 2-2 draw away to Feyenoord and will return to the top with a win against Roda and Vitesse fail to win.

Match result: AZ Alkmaar (-1) – 20/21

Cambuur vs NEC

This is a massive game in the early-season relegation battle as botom side NEC travel to fave 16th placed Cambuur. Both sides suffered 3-0 defeats last week and this is a real six-pointer. A win could remove NEC from the foot of the table but a win for the home team could see them move 6 points clear from NEC. Regardless of the result, this should be a cracking game.

Match goals: Under 2.5 – 11/10

Ajax vs Heracles

Ajax had been in really poor form before last week’s game away to NEC but a 3-0 win got them back on track and moved them up to 3rd. Heracles are pretty inconsistent at the moment and a 3-0 loss to Groningen last week slipped them down to 14th. Heracles have had some impressive results this season but I can’t look past Frank De Boer’s side for this one.

Match result: Ajax (-2) – 8/5

FC Utrecht vs ADO Den Haag

Sunday’s action kicks off with another bottom of the table clash as 13th placed Utrecht host 15th placed Den Haag. The visitors were in a bit of trouble before their game with Cambuur a fortnight ago but a 3-0 win pushed them past their opponents. This is a difficult one to predict and I can’t separate the two teams.

Match result: Draw – 11/4

RKC Waalwijk vs Feyenoord

With 1 loss in their last 10 league games, Feyenoord are in excellent form and are right back in the title race after a shocking start to the season. On the other hand, Waalwijk are really struggling at the moment and will really be up against it in this game. I can’t see any result other than a Feyenoord win.

Match result: Feyenoord – 7/10

FC Groningen vs PEC Zwolle

Both of these teams are very much in the title race at the moment and this should be a good match. Groningen are up in  4th after a string of good results while Zwolle are in 7th after their draw with Twente. This should be a close game and I expect plenty of goals.

Match goals: Over 3.5 – 11/8

Go Ahead Eagles vs Vitesse

Vitesse are the team to beat at the moment as they lead the league after a brilliant run of form. Go Ahead got an incredible 4-1 win away to Roda last week, moving them up to 12th. Despite that, I think this will be a very tough match for the home side and I see Vitesse just edging it.

Match result: Vitesse – 5/6

FC Twente vs NAC

Twente have been in poor form recently and now find themselves down in 5th after some very poor results. NAC, on the other hand, have been propelling up the table with some brilliant performances and sit in 10th. On paper, this looks like a straightforward match for Twente but I believe NAC will make this tough for them.

Match result: Draw – 4/1
