RKC Waalwijk vs FC Twente
The weekend’s action kicks off on Friday night as RKC host Twente. Both teams are desparate for a win in this one as Twente look to end the year in touching distance of leaders Vitesse and RKC are looking to steer themselves away from the bottom of the table. This should be an exciting match and I can see some goals being scored.
Match goals: Over 2.5 – 8/15
AZ Alkmaar vs Heerenveen
Saturday’s action kicks of with what looks like could be a cracking match. Both these teams have been entertaining to watch this season and I think the home side will just edge this one.
Match result: AZ Alkmaar – 4/5
Heracles vs Vitesse
League leaders Vitesse look to end the year with a win and become “winter champions”. They come in to this one in excellent form while the home side are also in decent form and have risen to 11th. I think Vitesse should win this one but not by much.
Match goals: Under 2.5 – 6/4
NAC Breda vs Cambuur
The bottom half of the table has become incredibly tight over the past few weeks and these two sides are in the thick of it. Despite being in 13th, NAC are just 4 points off the bottom while Cambuur are just a point ahead of NEC. This is a massive game which both teams could do with winning but it’s a tough one to call.
Match result: Draw – 5/2
Feyenoord vs PEC Zwolle
You’d find it hard to believe that after losing their first 3 games this season, Feyenoord would be up in 4th a week before the winter break. They’ve been brilliant recently and can end the year on a high with a win against Zwolle who are slowly drifting down the table after an excellent start. This is a game I think the home side should win comfortably
Match result: Feyenoord (-1) – 10/11
Roda JC vs Ajax
Sunday’s action begins with Roda hosting Frank De Boer’s in-form Ajax. The home side are in poor form and have been dragged in to the dog-fight at the bottom of the table while Ajax continue to pressurise leaders Vitesse in second. This should be a great game and I think there will be lots of goals.
Match goals: Over 3.5 – 11/10
Groningen vs NEC
NEC have been bottom of the table pretty much since round 1 but could move off the bottom with a result away to Groningen who have been out of sorts recently. This is a game I can definitely see NEC pulling off a result in as they will desperately want to end the year off the foot of the table.
Match result: Draw or NEC – 13/10
Go Ahead Eagles vs Utrecht
Go Ahead are relatively safe at the moment but could pull themselves further away from the bottom of the table with a win over Utrecht. The visitors had been in good form up until the hammering they took at home to PSV last week. This is a tough one to call but I think the home side could edge it.
Match result: Go Ahead Eagles – 11/10
PSV vs ADO Den Haag
2013’s Eredivisie action concludes as PSV and Den Haag meet at the Phillips Stadion. The home side can make it back-to-back victories with a win to try and make amends for the past 2 months they’ve had. Den Haag are in that scrap at the bottom and will want to relieve some pressure before the new year. This should be a good game and I predict PSV will win it.
Match result: PSV (-1) – 1/2
