Marco Bizot (AZ Alkmaar)
Kept PSV at bay throughout AZ Alkmaar’s 2-0 victory on Sunday and put in a performance that is a signal to Frank de Boer, who decided to drop the goalkeeper from the Netherlands squad.
Devyne Rensch (Ajax)
The 18-year-old was sensational in the first half of Ajax’s 5-0 hammering of ADO Den Haag, scoring once and adding two assists. A top talent who was also solid at the back.
Sven van Beek (Willem II)
Willem II climbed out of the drop zone with a well-earned 0-0 draw against Vitesse Arnhem with Van Beek excellent at the back. Easily dealt with Vitesse’s front duo and helped earn his side a valuable point.
Edson Alvarez (Ajax)
Alvarez keeps improving week in week out and on Sunday he scored his first goal in the league this season from close range. Was totally at ease at the back and calmly dealt with anything that came his way and got Ajax moving forward again.
Owen Wijndal (AZ Alkmaar)
Wijndal once again making a case for being Netherlands starting left-back with an excellent performance in the victory over PSV Eindhoven. Was a constant threat down the left and played a role in the opening goal.
Teun Koopmeiners (AZ Alkmaar)
AZ’s captain fantastic was once again in great form as AZ defeated PSV Eindhoven with Koopmeiners grabbing the second goal. Apart from one lack moment of error, Koopmeiners was excellent on the ball and dictated play for his side.
Wouter Burger (Sparta Rotterdam)
Burger has had to be patient to get his chance with Sparta this season but he impressed in the 1-1 draw with Heracles Almelo on Sunday. He got an assist, but also played a crucial role with five tackles, and two key passes.
Thijs Oosting (RKC Waalwijk)
Oosting inspired RKC Waalwijk to a 3-1 victory over Groningen with two goals in the opening 15 minutes of the game. The AZ youngster has been impressive while on loan with RKC, who have pulled away from the drop zone.
Jesper Karlsson (AZ Alkmaar)
Karlsson opened the scoring against PSV with an early strike and he tormented Denzel Dumfries from that moment on. A nutmeg on the right-back was a particular highlight.
Brian Brobbey (Ajax)
Brobbey made his first Eredivisie start against ADO Den Haag and he marked it with a fine goal. The striker played very well and proved why it is such a shame that he is departing for RB Leipzig in the summer.
Slobodan Tedic (PEC Zwolle)
Has been hit with injuries since joining PEC Zwolle on loan from Manchester City, but he made the difference on Sunday with a goal in the 2-1 victory over VVV-Venlo. There is plenty more to come from the exciting forward.
