Go Ahead Eagles vs Cambuur
This should be an entertaining math as both these teams have enjoyed very similar starts to the season. The two sides sit on 8 points from their first 6 games and Cambuur sit two places of Go Ahead in 8th by goal difference. Go Ahead suffered a 3-0 defeat to AZ last week while Cambuur picked up a 2-0 win at home to Heracles. This should be a close match and I can’t separate the two sides.
Full Time result: Draw – 5/2
Heracles vs FC Twente
Heracles enjoyed a very good start to to the season but have slipped down the table over the past few weeks. Twente continue to sit just about stay with the league leaders. They lie in 6th. Heracles suffered a 2-0 win last week while Twente drew 2-2 away to PSV. This should be a good game but I can’t see too many goals being scored.
Match goals: Under 2.5 – 27/20
ADO Den Haag vs NEC
Its second bottom vs bottom this week and these two teams are having a torrid time this season. NEC are still looking for their first league win this season while Den Haag have lost 4 of their 5 games. NEC have steadied recently with three successive draws but Den Haag are in awful form. This sounds like a long shot but I can see NEC sneaking a result here.
Full Time result: NEC – 13/5
Groningen vs RKC Waalwijk
Both these teams started the season pretty well but have both faltered in recent weeks. Gronigen found themselves beaten 4-2 by Heerenveen last week and have slipped down to 9th. Waalwijk have just 1 win this season and they are third from bottom. I expect Gronigen to win this one comfortably.
Handicap Full Time result: Gronigen (-2) – 9/2
Roda JC vs Heerenveen
Roda are another team in poor form and they find themselves down in 14th. Heerenveen continue to do well this season and they are up in 3rd after another victory lat week. This match should have plenty of goals as these teams have conceded 25 goals between them this season and also scored 20.
Match goals: Over 3.5 – Evens
Vitesse vs PEC Zwolle
There are some cracking matches to look forward to on Sunday and it starts with this one. Zwolle remain top of the league despite losing to Ajax last week. Vitesse are in 7th but have a game in hand on the teams above them. This is a really tough match to call but I could see Vitesse sneaking it and condemning Zwolle to a second successive defeat.
Winning margin: Vitesse by 1 – 3/1
Feyenoord vs Utrecht
Feyenoord are in good form with the side unbeaten in three games and looking like a much better team than the team that started the season and striker Graziano Pelle is in good form. Utrecht are 1 place above them in the league and have had a mediocre first 6 games with 2 wins, draws and defeats. I think this will be a good game and I expect Feyenoord to win it.
To score two or more goals: Graziano Pelle – 13/8
NAC vs AZ Alkmaar
NAC are slowly improving in their start to the season and lie in 15th place after a stunning 5-1 win away to Roda last week. AZ are in good form and they are up in 5th after a 3-0 win over Go Ahead last week. This is a difficult one to predict with both sides playing well at the moment so I’m going to sit on the fence.
Full Time result: Draw – 12/5
PSV vs Ajax
The Eredivisie have saved the best for last this weekend as the two title favourites face off at the Phillips Sadion. PSV remain in second despite drawing their last three league games while Ajax are in 4th after beating the league leaders, Zwolle, last week. Both teams have played some impressive stuff this season despite losing some key players over the summer. This is a difficult one to predict but I know there will be goals in it.
Match goals: Over 3.5 – 11/8
