maher eAZ Alkmaar vs PSV

This is the first matchup of the weekend and it has the potential to be a cracking game. PSV are top of the table and are the only remaining unbeaten team in the league. AZ sit in 9th after a disappointing 3-0 loss to NAC last week. This is a tough match to call and I really can’t separate the two teams. PSV are very tough to beat on their day and AZ will put up a strong fight.

Full Time result: Draw – 5/2

RKC Waalwijk vs Heracles

Both these teams are on a poor run of form and are sitting in the bottom 6 of the table. Waalwijk are third bottom on 5 points while Heracles are 1 place above on 7 points. Both sides were on the end of heavy defeats last week and have been struggling to score goals this season. I can’t see many goals being scored in this one.

Match goals: Under 3 – 13/10

Utrecht vs Roda JC

These are another pair of teams who matchup this weekend with similarly poor starts to the season. Roda and Utrecht sit in 13th and 14th respectively and both have 8 points to their name. Utrecht are the joint lowest scoring team this season and I cant see them scoring too many and I think they will be difficult to score against.

Match goals: Under 2 – 7/2

Ajax vs Go Ahead Eagles

Ajax have hit a little bit of a slump since Christian Eriksen departed the club and have fallen down to 7th in the table after a crushing 4-0 defeat to PSV last week. Go Ahead are sitting steady in 11th and are impressing a few people with their football this season. I think Go Ahead will put up fight in this one but Ajax should edge it.

Full Time result: Ajax (-1) – 4/6

PEC Zwolle vs NAC

Zwolle have lost their last two games and have been knocked off top spot.  This is another tough match in what is a tough month for the club and NAC are on good form having won their last 2 matches. This will be another of this weekend’s close matches and I expect Zwolle to win this one.

Full Time result – PEC Zwolle – 4/6

NEC vs Vitesse

NEC are somehow still looking for their first league win and have drawn their last 4 matches. The win has to come soon but I don’t see it coming here. Vitesse are playing well at the moment and are up in 5th place. They aren’t conceding many goals and have won 4 of their 6 games. NEC will give it a good fight but I think Vittese will ease past them.

Full Time result: Vitesse (-1) – 11/4

Feyenoord vs ADO Den Haag

Feyenoord had a terrible start to the season but are on a brilliant run of form and they’re now 4 games unbeaten and up to 8th in the table. Den Haag are having a terrible time at the moment and are second bottom with just 1 win this season. This should be a pretty straightforward match for the home side and I think they’ll hammer Den Haag.

Full Time result: Feyenoord (-2) – 9/5

Heerenveen vs Cambuur

This is a tough match to predict. Normally, I would go for a lot of match goals when Heerenveen are playing but they are playing Cambuur who have scored just 6 goals this season and conceded 5. Heerenveen are 4th and Cambuur are third but I think the home side’s firepower will overcome Cambuur’s strong defence.

Full Time result: Heerenveen to win and over 2.5 goals – 21/20

FC Twente vs Gronigen

Once again it looks like the best match of the weekend may take place last. Both of these teams have scored lots of goals this season and are doing well in the table. Twente are 3rd while Gronigen are 6th and the teams have notched up 33 goals between them this season. This will be another tight match but I think the home side should win it.

Match goals: Over 3 -6/5
