It’s round 9 of the Eredivisie this weekend and after PSV’s defeat to AZ last week there are now no remaining unbeaten teams in the league. All prices provided by Bet 365.
Cambuur vs FC Twente
Friday night’s match sees new league leaders Twente travel to Cambuur in what will be a tough match for Michel Jansen’s side. Cambuur have only conceded 7 goals this season and will be tough to beat in front of their home crowd. Despite Twente scoring 21 goals already this season I think they might struggle in this game and I can’t see a lot of goals being scored.
Match goals: Under 2.5 – 5/4
Den Haag vs Heerenveen
Den Haag had endured a horrible start to the season but got a huge boost with a 2-1 over Vitesse during the week. Heerenveen are in good form and they are joint on points with leaders Twente but are 3rd on goal difference. Heerenveen have been massively amongst the goals this season and I can see this match producing a number of goals.
Match Goals: Over 3.5 – 11/10
Go Ahead Eagles vs NEC
Go Ahead enjoyed an impressive start to the season but have been in shocking form recently. The 6-0 defeat to Ajax last week made it 3 games without a win and they are down in 15th place as a result. NEC are still looking for their first league win but I don’t see it happening in this game. Go Ahead are an impressive team when they play well and I think the players will be up for this match.
Full time result: Go Ahead (-1) – 9/4
Roda JC vs PEC Zwolle
Zwolle enjoyed a stunning start to the season but recent form has seen them drop down to 5th in the table. They’re 3 games without a win and are desperate to get back on track. Roda are still lingering down the bottom end of the table but are starting to improve. This will be a close game and it’s difficult to separate the two teams.
Full time result: Draw – 23/10
NAC vs Heracles
NAC had a poor start to the season but are gradually moving up the table and find themselves in 11th. Heracles are 1 place above them in 10th but have lost 4 of their 8 games this season. Heracles go into the match on the back of a 4-1 win at Waalwijk last week and I fancy them to sneak this one.
Full time result: Heracles – 5/2
Ajax vs Utrecht
Ajax have had an inconsistent start to the season but are still close to the league leaders in 4th. Utrecht are struggling down in 14th and have only won 2 games this season. Ajax have scored 19 goals this season and I think they should win this comfortably.
Full time result: Ajax (-2) – 13/8
Groningen vs AZ Alkmaar
This should be one of the weekend’s most entertaining matches. Groningen were on good form but suffered a set back with a 5-0 defeat to Twente last week. AZ are in excellent form and handed PSV their first league defeat last week. It’s difficult to choose a winner in this match but I think there will be a lot of goals.
Match goals: Over 3.5 – 11/8
Vitesse vs Feyenoord
This is another match with the potential to be a cracker. Vitesse missed the chance to go top during the week and will be hungry to make up for that defeat. Feyenoord are in superb form and re unbeaten in their last 5 matches which has propelled them up to 7th in the table. Both teams will be eager to get the three points but I just can’t choose winner in this one.
Full time result: Draw – 5/2
PSV vs RKC Waalwijk
PSV have been struggling in the league recently and suffered their first defeat of the season last week at AZ. They still find themselves 2nd and will be looking to move back to top with a big win this week against Waalwijk who are in all sorts of trouble. They’ve conceded 20 goals this season and are 2nd bottom. I expect the home side to win this one easily.
Full time result: PSV (-2) – 13/10
