Benjamin van Leer: The Roda JC goalkeeper was in fine form on Friday evening to keep a clean sheet in the 0-0 draw at Twente. Van Leer made seven saves during the game including one in the final minute to deny Enes Unal.
Ard van Peppen: Another fine performer for Roda JC on Friday was left back Ard van Peppen, who made six tackles, four interceptions, five clearances and blocked two shots in the 0-0 draw at Twente.
Marcos Gullon: The centre back was in imperious form to keep Unal at bay on Friday. Twente dominated the game but Gullon made 16! clearances during the match to help his side escape with a point.
Bram van Polen: The centre half was excellent at the back for PEC Zwolle in their IJsselsderby win over Go Ahead, making 11 clearances and four interceptions. Van Polen also set up the opening goal with a perfect long ball to Queensy Menig.
Rick Karsdorp: Another fine performance from the right back on Sunday was capped with a goal as Karsdorp followed up on the rebound after Dirk Kuyt’s penalty was saved. Karsdorp had more touches of the ball than any of his teammates during the game, made 3 key passes, 5 crosses and ended with a pass accuracy of 86%
Hakim Ziyech: Ajax bought Ziyech to be a match winner and that is exactly what the midfielder was on Saturday as his excellent goal in the second half was enough to beat a stubborn Excelsior side.
Andres Guardado: PSV have been missing their pitbull in midfield so far this season, but Guardado looked back to his best in the 2-0 win over Vitesse on Saturday.
Marten Thorsby: The Norwegian was brought into the starting line-up for the tie with Feyenoord on Sunday and put in a commanding midfield performance. Thorsby capped off his impressive display with an assist in the second half.
Gaston Pereiro: PSV have been wasteful in front of goal this season but Pereiro made sure the club earned a much needed 2-0 win at Vitesse. The Uruguayan scored both goals with the first a smart finish to outwit Eloy Room. Phillip Cocu will be hoping for more performance like this from the attacker.
Arber Zeneli: Heerenveen have been the surprise package in the Eredivisie so far this season and Zeneli has been a key part of that. The winger was once again in fine form against Feyenoord, assisting the opening goal before earning his side a point with an excellent long range effort in the second half.
Queensy Menig: Pushed through the middle for the IJsselderby with Go Ahead Eagles on Sunday, Menig opened the scoring in the first minute with an excellent lob. The attacker then led the line well with an 83% pass accuracy and 3 completed dribbles.
