botteghBotteghin scored the winning goal in the 1-0 quarter final victory last night against Roda JC in extra time, and then paid tribute to his new born son by recreating the famous rocking baby goal celebration which Bebeto created at the World Cup in U.S.A 94.

The Brazilian centre back said on the goal, “I have become a Father and I wanted to do something for my son so I did the same goal celebration that Bebeto did at the World Cup in 1994”.

“After a difficult period this victory is very important for Feyenoord and we needed this victory tonight and it’s a relief for the whole squad that we are through to semi finals “.

“The pressure is always on at a club like Feyenoord and we have spoke amongst ourselves internally about the need to improve and I thought tonight was a good disciplined performance where we fought for one another”.

“A game like tonight can only give more confidence after losing 5 games in a row and we now look ahead to an important game on Sunday against Ajax ” .
