Utrecht boss Erik ten Haag fully understands why Premier League club’s have their eyes on his star man, but he thinks Haller will remain in the Eredivisie.

He said, “Sebastien Haller is a fantastic talent and it is fully understandable that a lot of clubs are after him and that is completely logical”.

“But he feels comfortable here and he also feels that he is continuing to improve”.

” Should we receive a mega offer for him then everything is possible, but i can’t anticipate that and I certainly can’t influence it “.

“We expect that Sebastien will finish the season with us” .

While most Eredivisie clubs went to warmer climates during the winter break such as Ajax to Turkey and PSV to Malta although it may well be a question of money FC Utrecht have decided to go to De Lutte in the Dutch province of Overijssel.

Ten Hag gives the following reasons for such a decision. “It is a concious decision we are going to experience a different climate with the cold weather to experience different climates in a short period of time is certainly not good for the players.”

“I will also admit that the decision has also been taken due to our finances because everything starts up again for us on 17th January away at Groningen and I believe that a lot of changes will be of no benefit to us “.
