Ten Hag stated that he had not yet spoken with Ajax about replacing Marcel Keizer as the Amsterdammers must come to an agreement with Utrecht.

Ten Hag said, “I am focused on getting points in our match against NAC Breda tonight.

“I will not be speaking to Ajax tomorrow. The clubs must find an agreement first. If Ajax have interest in me they must first approach FC Utrecht.

“Who would not want to become Ajax manager. I would view Ajax as a tremendous challenge.

“Ajax is the most fascinating club in the Netherlands so of course you are interested in the position. But once again it is now up to Ajax and FC Utrecht.”
