Feyenoord head to Denmark on Thursday looking to record their second group win in the Europa League when they face Midtjylland. The kick-off is at 20.00.

Feyenoord lost their opening group game against Lazio but bounced back with a 6-0 victory against Sturm Graz in Rotterdam. Arne Slot’s side now look to boost their chances of reaching the next round against Midtjylland.

Since their win over Sturm Graz, Feyenoord lost 4-3 at PSV Eindhoven before only managing a 1-1 draw against NEC Nijmegen at the weekend. Slot will be keen to see his side return to winning ways in Denmark.

However, that will be a tough task with Midtjylland winning their previous home game in the group against Lazio 5-1. Their other clash was lost 1-0 at Sturm Graz. In the Danish league, Midtjylland are seventh after only managing a 1-1 draw with Viborg at the weekend.

Team News

Ezequiel Bullaude, Quilindschy Hartman, Mimeirhel Benita and Mohamed Taabouni have all been left at home by Slot to train with the reserves.

Lutsharel Geertruida will be hoping to start after being on the bench at the weekend, along with midfielder Sebastian Szymanski.

Possible Feyenoord line-up: Bijlow, Geertruida, Lopez, Trauner, Hanko, Kokcu, Timber, Szymanski, Jahanbakhsh, Dilrosun, Danilo

Junior Brumado is out for Midtjylland but other than that the Danes have a fully fit squad.

Possible Midtjylland line-up: Lossl; Paulinho, Sviatchenko, Dalsgaard, Thychosen; Evander, Martinez, Olsson; Dreyer, Kaba, Sisto

Odds

Can Feyenoord win in Denmark?

This will be a major test for Feyenoord on Thursday with Midtjylland proving how dangerous they can be with their 5-1 win over Lazio.

The Rotterdam side’s form has been up and down so far this season but they will need to be at their best to come away with the three points. With all four teams in the group on three points, all games are crucial and Feyenoord would be happy to come away from Denmark with a point at least.
