PSV Eindhoven will look to take top spot in their group when they host Omonia Nicosia on Thursday. Kick-off is at 5.55pm.

PSV booked their place in the next round of the competition last week when they defeated Granada 1-0 in Spain.

Now, only top spot in the group is to play for with Granada facing PAOK Salonika in Spain. PSV currently sits one point behind Granada.

PSV drew 2-2 with Heerenveen in the league at the weekend, which keeps them third in the table. Opponents Omonia Nicosia defeated APOEL 3-0 at the weekend but still sit seventh in their league.

In the reverse fixture in Cyprus, PSV came out on top, winning 2-1 thanks to a late Donyell Malen goal.

PSV to end their group with a victory?

PSV are through and the game against Omonia Nicosia is a good chance for some other players to prove themselves.

Top spot in the group is important though, especially to get a favourable draw and Schmidt will hopefully drum into his players that the clash is must-win.

Omonia Nicosia have been poor in the group and should be no match for PSV if the Dutch side are on it. Mohamed Ihattaren will be one of the players very eager to impress.
