PSV Eindhoven have finished as group winners after a 4-0 victory over Omonia Nicosia.

Roger Schmidt decided to make changes for the game with Joel Piroe making his first start for the club up front, while Nick Viergever, Timo Baumgartl, and Ritchie Ledezma also came into the starting eleven.

PSV dominated from the start but they were dealt a blow early on with Ledezma coming off on a stretcher. Adrian Fein replaced the midfielder.

Ten minutes before the break, PSV had the lead with Philipp Max setting up Donyell Malen to make it 1-0. It was Malen’s fifth goal in the Europa League group stage.

It was 2-0 in the 63rd minute when Denzel Dumfries was bundled over in the box and the right-back netted the resulting penalty.

Viergever then gave away a penalty for handball but Omonia Nicosia couldn’t benefit as Jordi GΓ³mez shot his spot-kick wide.

Just before the end, Piroe capped his first start with a quick-fire double to make it a comfortable victory for the hosts.

With PAOK and Granada drawing 0-0, PSV finish top of the group and go into Monday’s draw as a seeded side.
