01 koemAD are reporting that Koeman’s agent Rob Jansen was in Monaco today to meet new Everton owner Farhad Moshiri and chairman Bill Kenwright to seal a deal which will see the Dutchman leave Southampton for Liverpool.

Everton are so intent on appointing the Dutchman that they are willing to pay compensation to Southampton to release him from his contract and give the 53-year-old a massive transfer budget to revamp their squad this summer.

Koeman has constantly stated that he is not interested in leaving Southampton, where he is under contract until 2017, but it seems he has been tempted by the offer from Everton and will shortly be named as the successor to Roberto Martinez.

Koeman has been Southampton coach for two years and guided them to 6th and 7th placed finishes in the Premier League.
