According to the Times Everton are interested in signing Ajax centre back Niklas Moisander before tomorrows transfer deadline.

The English newspaper also claims that the Premier League club has already held talks with the Finnish international, and could make a bid of around €3.5 million.
Moisander was linked with Barcelona earlier in the transfer window by Finnish media, and is highly expected to leave Ajax in the summer.
Ajax will be reluctant to allow the experienced defender to leave the club so close to the window closing, and with the club closing in on their fourth straight Eredivisie title. However should Moisander leave, Ajax have sufficient cover, with Stefano Denswil, Mike van der Hoorn, and Joel Veltman all pushing for the two centre back spots.
Any move may come down to whether Everton can offload Dutch defender John Heitinga before tomorrows deadline. According to Dutch media, Galatasaray have pulled out of any deal for the 30-year-old, and options seem to be running out for a move away from Goodison Park.
