Eindhoven Dagblad is reporting on Wednesday that the future of seven key players at the club is unclear, while PSV’s hierarchy are still being very silent around any incoming deals.
Goalkeeper Jeroen Zoet is wanted by Napoli, while Santiago Arias and Jetro Willems are both hoping to leave. Davy Propper’s is open to a transfer along with Andres Guardado, while Marco van Ginkel has returned to Chelsea. There are also question marks surrounding striker and captain Luuk de Jong, who had a poor campaign and lost his place to Jurgen Locadia towards the end of the season.
Fringe players Marcel Ritzmaier and Adam Maher are said to have no future in Eindhoven and can leave.
Worryingly for PSV fans is that the club seems reluctant to delve into the transfer market at the moment with Marcel Brands telling ED that Jordy de Wijs will be given the chance to replace Moreno in the first team. Several young players are set to be given their chance in pre-season, while the club seems to be keen on loan deals, with Mexican winger Hirving Lozano and Tottenham striker Vincent Janssen two possible acquisitions.
The next few weeks at PSV are set to be very interesting as the club looks to mould a team capable of winning back the Eredivisie title and challenging in the Europa League.
…..retaining the title? Nah
the squad now becomes weaker than it was in 2 years the erdivisie is going down
