PSV Eindhoven head coach Ernest Faber has responded to Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in Steven Bergwijn.

Bergwijn asked not to play in PSV’s clash with FC Twente due to interest from Tottenham Hotspur.

Quoted by Eindhoven’s Dagblad, Faber said, “It is important that we have players who are one hundred percent focused, that is what PSV needs now

“Everyone must have full attention. We can still go for the second place and have something to put right because of the cup elimination.”

Faber also confirmed that no agreement is in place with Tottenham yet. The Premier League club’s opening offer is not near the Eindhoven club’s asking price.
