The Eredivisie veteran signs for ADO Den Haag on a free transfer after leaving Willem II at the end of the season. He was being linked with several clubs abroad, including Scottish side Hibernian but has opted to remain in the Netherlands.
ADO Den Haag is Falkenburg’s seventh club in the Eredivisie having previously played for Willem II, Sparta Rotterdam, AZ, NEC, Go Ahead Eagles and NAC Breda.
General manager Jeffrey van As said on the club website, “Erik has been on our list for quite some time. He is a multifunctional player who can be deployed in the midfield as well as in the forefront. Erik can make goals. In short, he is a nice addition to our club. “
