FC Twente were dangerous from the start, and finally took the lead on 17 minutes, when Luc Castaignos crossed for Shadrach Eghan in the middle, and when the midfielder turned Jeffrey Bruma he fired into the bottom corner.
PSV were disappointing in the first half, and couldn’t create chances despite their superior possession. A Georginio Wijanldum shot which was straight at Nick Marsman is the only real chance they created.
In the second half, PSV stepped up their play, and equalised when Memphis Depay crossed perfectly for Wijnaldum to nod into the net from a few yards out.
Wijnaldum then had a perfect opportunity to give PSV the lead, but he blazed over the bar from a few yards out.
They were made to pay a few minutes later, when Luc Castaignos cushioned a cross into the path of Quincy Promes, who fired past Jeroen Zoet to give Twente a 2-1 lead.
Seven minutes from the end, PSV leveled at 2-2 with Memphis Depay cutting in from the left before firing via a deflection into the bottom corner.
Neither side could find the winner before the end, and both had to settle for a deserved point in a closely contested match in Enschede. However PSV will be concerned that they have now drawn three matches in a row, while Twente look like they could challenge for the title.
