Promes has headed to Rome to negotiate with the Russian side today after a bid was accepted by Twente, rumoured to be around €10 million, and its almost certain that the winger will move to Moscow.
The exciting 22-year-old was excellent for Twente last season, and netted 10 goals in 31 matches, which earned him his first cap for Netherlands national team. Promes was included in the provisional squad for the World Cup, but was eventually left at home by Louis van Gaal.
Spartak Moscow finished 6th in the Russian league last season, and will not play in Europe, unlike Twente, who are involved in the Europa League.
When Promes completes his move to Moscow, it is believed that Twente will move for Heerenveen midfielder Hakim Ziyech, and PEC Zwolle star Kamohelo Mokotjo.
